What fun it is to make these mirror and picture frames! It takes a while to do each one and the process is exciting for me. Often when I start out, I have no clear idea of where I'm going and just sort of let it happen. Sometimes a client has a size in mind, or a shape, but no other firm ideas; those are the most fun commissions for me. Usually I ask for a photograph of the room the mirror will hang in if a home visit is not practical. There's generally some shape in the wallpaper, the molding, draperies or an item of furniture, which I will integrate into the frame. No two frames are the same, ever, well, unless of course you order a matching pair...
